Living a Lavender Life

How can a season pass so quickly? 2022 was a banner year for Lavender Hill Farm KCK.  The Lord just continues to bless our farm.

The ladies from Veronica’s Voice helped with the harvest and we truly love having them on the farm.  We all enjoyed the taste of a grilled hotdog in Hope Garden for lunch.  We also hosted a cookout and bonfire to celebrate the Hunter’s Moon.  What a beautiful sight the full, bright moonlight was while looking down over the rows of lavender.  This was an event enjoyed by all.

We had a special event on October 2nd. Jenny and I were thrilled to host a Sunday morning church service at Lavender Hill.  The Episcopal Church is focusing on the Care of Creation theme this year and asked if they could hold a worship service out in creation right here on our farm.  We had a group of 50 people show up comprised by St. Paul’s members, Veronica’s Voice ladies, friends and family and even some of our neighbors on 63rd Street.

But here we are now, thanking the good Lord this Thanksgiving for another bountiful crop at Lavender Hill. We will continue through Winter with our sales at the River Market, Serendipity and our online site. Our son, Ben, has offered new products to our list to sell this year. His smudge sticks are a hit at Serendipity in the West Bottoms.  His chemical-free candles are affordable and beautiful. We also have a new roll-on called Grace that is becoming very popular with our customers. This roll-on certainly lives up to its name. The peaceful tranquility the scent of lavender produces can truly provide grace to your day.

We wish you all a happy holiday season full of grace and hope. We also extend an invitation to come share in our special endeavors at Lavender Hill Farm KCK.
